  Took a bmw 2.2 Z4 to crown garage for new coil and shocks car was sat for 2 days while waited for the booked day then it wouldn't start on day to take over i thought battery or something simple because was running mint when I'd parked it up. So they had a look once I got it there and first thing they say timing chain has snapped (been told by speacilist now that is very rare) crown garage then said they had done a compression test in which it was reading zero o v little and that the engine was knackered and they not seen one that bad there must be something seriously wrong deep inside the engine... (the 1 mechanic had said to my mrs when dropping it off if it's knackered il buy the car off you ) . I asked them to leave the car and il take it somewhere else which was a bmw specialist and first thing they said after trying turn engine couple times that sounds like spark plugs and leads and they'd let me know when they have had a proper look. Turns out Nothing wrong with engine and just needed new plugs n leads. If you got a tractor take it to Crown garage anything else id go somewhere tidy!!!!
